Blog#7: The saxophone (Mizuki Yanagisawa)

Hello, this is Mizuki Yanagisawa. Today, I want to introduce a fantastic music instrument, which is called the saxophone.

From my experience, I can say that the saxophone is my best friend. It is because I have played it for around 8 years. I was in the wind orchestra club when I was in middle school and high school, and played saxophone almost every day. Playing the saxophone is very fun and made me relax or sometimes excited. However, how many people know the saxophone? Do you know what form is? Do you know what color is? Do you know what sounds like? Although it is very popular instrument in Jazz music, perhaps some people have never seen or heard it.

The saxophone is the woodwind music instrument which form is like a big curved straw. Usually, it is coated with gold lacquer or silver lacquer, just like this:

Moreover, the saxophone has a variety of its sounds. In the wind orchestra, it sounds very soft, and in Jazz band or big band it sounds brightly which is almost like a brass instrument such as trumpet or trombone. Therefore, it is sometimes called “almighty” or “all-powerful” music instrument. In both Jazz band and woodwind orchestra, the saxophone plays a role in a “hero” any other instruments due to its flexibility.

Furthermore, did you know that the saxophone is not included in the orchestra instruments? It is because the saxophone was firstly made in 1840 which is quite new comparing to other orchestra instruments such as violin, viola, or contrabass. However, instead of being included in orchestra instruments, it is the main instrument in Jazz or wind ensemble as I have already said in above.

Finally, I want to introduce the music of saxophone. Here is the song of saxophone quartet (四重奏)

As you watch it, you will notice that there are four types of saxophone: soprano sax, alto sax, tenor sax and baritone sax. These four are different in their sound and how high their sounds are. The harmony of these different sounds will make you fascinated and excited. I hope you will enjoy this song. Additionally, if you are interested in the saxophone, I strongly recommend you to go to the concert and listen to the real sound of the saxophone!

Thank you for reading, and please enjoy your new year holiday.

Blog#7: American Football!! (Nao Murakami)

Hello, this is Nao Murakami. Today I would like to introduce you about American Football. Have you ever heard of or watch it? It is a kind of sports which is famous and popular in America. The reason I am introducing it is I belong to the American Football club at Gakushuin university as a manager and want more people to know about it and enjoy it.
First of all, I am going tell you some rules. American Football consists series of downs. Players have their specific position, and try to get points by runs, passes, punts or field goal kicks. When we get points by runs or passes, which is called "touch down", we can get 6 points and another chance for getting point which is called "try for point". At first, it may sounds difficult because there are more rules, but once you understand them, it is really fun to watch games. Also, this sport is very dangerous because players tackle to an against team. In most games, there are some injured players, so most team has their team doctor or trainers, and sometimes there is an ambulance during the game. However, the games are very exciting and fun to watch.
Second, I am going to tell you about our team at Gakushuin university. The name of the team is GENERALS. Our team is in a division 2 now. There are 36 players, 11 managers, 7 trainers and 5 analyzing staffs. We practice 5 days in a week, Wednesday to Sunday after school. It is little hard but I am really enjoying it. Our target is to remote to division 1.

This is the Promotion Video for Generals. I hope you will enjoy watching it.

To sum up, American Football is very exciting sport to watch and play. If you interested in it, please go to see the game! Also, there are many videos on youtube, so if you do not have enough time to go out to see the game, watch it on youtube!  I put one game here.

Thank you for reading my blog, and hope you enjoyed it!

Blog#6 Why eyes of the rabbit are red? (Momoko Watanabe)

Hello.  This is Momoko Watanabe.  Today, I'm going to introduce the story, Why eyes of the rabbit are red?, which is told by Ayana Sakai.

There are two main characters. A rabbit which has antlers. Then a deer which has no antlers.  The rabbit had made a boast of his antlers to other animals all the time.  One day, the rabbit met the deer and talked proudly of his antlers as usual. Since the deer has no antlers, he was envious of the rabbit's antlers.  He praised it and asked the rabbit to borrow it. The rabbit was glad of compliments on his antlers, so handed it to the deer.  The deer received and gazed at it, came to want it more and more.   He praised it again and asked the rabbit whether he may put it on his head.  The rabbit became in good temper and granted the deer's request.  The deer put the rabbit's antlers on his head and ran to a riverbank.  He looked at his reflection in the river in fascination and said to rabbit that the antlers suited himself the best.  Then the deer with the rabbit's antlers crossed a river and ran into forests.  The rabbit tried to chase him, but he couldn't cross the river because he couldn't swim.  Since then, every day the rabbit looked for the deer while crying, however he could not find the deer.  He cried so much that his eyes became red.
I like this story because this teaches us that if we are arrogant, we will get hurt.

Blog#6: The Mixed-Up Chameleon (Yurina Mori)

Hi, this is Yurina Mori. I'm going to introduce a recorded story, "The Mixed-Up Chameleon". This is a picture book for children. The story is told by Eric Carle.

A small green chameleon is the main character of this story. It can turn its body's color by around view. And there are many kinds of animals which have various characteristics in a zoo.

The chameleon can turn body's color, like I wrote before. For example, it turn brownish when it moves onto brown tree and it turn reddish when it sits on red flower and so on. Amazingly, it can also turn the color by weather and hunger. When it feels cold and hungry, it turn gray. Also, when it feels warm or it eats something, it turns sparkling green. One day, the chameleon saw a zoo which had a lot of animals. It thought how small, slow and weak it is because it has never seen so beautiful animals. It wished that it wanted to be big and white like a polar bear. Just then, its dreams came true. Its body changed big and white! Then, it started getting good points of various animals gradually. Finally, it was a chameleon which mixed-up characteristics of many animals. It was very happy. But, it noticed that it couldn't catch the fly as usual. It wished it could be itsself, its dreams came true again and it could catch the fly.

I like this story because I think this story tells us it is important to notice each good points of us. We  feel other people have a lot of strong points, but we must have each very great points. So I think we should find only one characteristic!

Blog#6: Lopsy And Bopsy And The Letter To Santa(Misaki Yoshida)

Hello, this is Misaki Yoshida. Christmas is coming soon, so today I'd like to introduce a Christmas short story. Here is the video of storytelling. Please watch this video first. This is a little childish story, but the narrator is brilliant.

This Christmas story is called “Lopsy And Bopsy And The Letter To Santa”, which is told by Penelope Bourhill. In this story, two main characters appear, Lopsy and Bopsy. Lopsy, who writes a letter to Santa every year, is a friend of Bopsy. In contrast, Bopsy didn’t think to write a letter to Santa. One day, Bopsy called on Lopsy to see if he could play. But he refused it, because Santa Claus came to their town that day. As Bopsy thought that Santa came just once a year on the Christmas Eve a night, so he was very glad. However, he was very disappointed when he discovered that Lopsy wrote the letter to Santa every year. He feared he would be forgotten on Christmas Eve. Lopsy advised Bopsy to write a letter right now and give it to Santa when he comes to town. After he went back his home, he wrote a letter to Santa soon. That afternoon Santa came to their town, and Bopsy could meet and give the letter to Santa. Santa said, “Have no fear on Christmas Eve, no child do I forget.” Santa has already known what Bopsy wanted. He learned that Santa would never forget a child at Christmas. I like this story, because as I said earlier, though this story is a little childish, the narrator is wonderful. She uses some techniques in storytelling. She uses different voices for different characters in dialogue, so we can understand who is talking. Also, she changes her voice to change the feeling of character. These techniques attract us. We are learning how to read the story dramatically, so I think it is a great example. I really recommend you to watch this video. Please enjoy it and a merry Christmas!

Blog#6: Santa's Christmas (Nao Murakami)

Hello, This is Nao Murakami! Today I would like to talk about the story called Santa's Christmas told by Lavina Tien. In this story, there are not many main characters. The first character is Santa Clause. He is the person who gives presents to children on Christmas day, but in this story, he is sick. Then there are four reindeer which usually supports Santa to carry presents. The last character is the children who came from all over the world.
In this story, like I wrote before, Santa becomes sick and cannot prepare the Christmas presents, so the Santa is thinking about children sadly in his bed. Suddenly, he notice his four reindeer standing patiently outside his house as usual, but they look little tired. Then Santa finds there are a long train of sleds behind reindeer with a lot of children. They hopped out on the snow and come to Santa's house. Surprisingly, they all have a small present for Santa to wish Santa's well! So, Santa let them come in to his house and share the presents. Then one girl ask Santa, "which present do you like the best?", and Santa replies "It is the love and kindness that each of you shown me today and that is the best present of all". Santa tells them that this is the true meaning of the Christmas, and gives them a big warm hug.
I have never heard of this story, but I loved it soon after I watched it. I think this story is very cute and heart warming. It tells us how nice people's love and kindness are. I think this is not very popular or famous story, but I deeply recommend it to you!

Blog#6: The Greatest Treasure (Mizuki Yanagisawa)

Hello everyone, this is Mizuki Yanagisawa. Today I am going to introduce a wonderful storytelling to you. Here is the video of storytelling. Please watch this video first, and then please read my article.

This heart-warming story is called “The Greatest Treasure”, which is told by Amit Garg. In this story, various characters appear as story goes on. A boy called Peter is a friendly main character of this story that goes to some adventures to find a treasure. A lion, who Peter first meets, is so strong and courageous that he leads Peter into the forest. An eagle is Peter’s friend which has excellent vision and can alert Peter to dangers. A sheep also becomes Peter’s friend who has soft hair and can keep Peter warm when it is cold. A camel, which is called the ship of the desert, helps Peter get across the desert. A turtle also helps them cross the ocean. An Owl is a key character who has ancient wisdom. Briefly, the plot of the story is about Peter’s finding a treasure. One day, Peter finds a treasure map and decides to go to have some adventures. On his adventure, he meets a lion, an eagle, a sheep, a camel and a turtle and asks them to join in a treasure hunt. Even though there are many mountains, valleys, seas, and deserts that hinder their adventure, they overcome those struggles by helping each other. Finally, they meet an owl and the owl says Peter and his friends have already found the treasure. When they ask where the treasure is, the owl answers that the treasures are their cooperation and friendship. Finally, they look each other and realize that the owl is right. Overall, I liked this story. It is because the characters in this story were very familiar to us so that it was easy to understand their feelings. Moreover, I was interested in this story because the story tells us some morals which are a friendship and to help each other is important in our lives. Therefore, I recommend you to listen to this story and want you to enjoy it!

Blog#4: Kyoto -Kinkaku-ji and Kiyomizu-temple (Mizuki Yanagisawa)

Hello. This is Mizuki Yanagisawa again and again. Sorry for posting many articles at once.
I want introduce Kyoto to you this time. I visited here in last winter with my friends and this summer with my family. As you already know, Kyoto is the city renowned for old buildings, temples, shrines or festivals. Today, I would like to focus on two temples. One is called Kinkaku-ji, and the other one is called Kiyomizu-dera (Kiyomizu-temple).

First, I want to introduce Kinkaku-ji to you. I think you probably have been to Kinkaku- ji as a school trip when you are child; therefore you might know pretty much about there already. Kinkaku-ji is a Buddhist temple and is built by Yoshimitsu Asikaga in 1395. When I first visited here with my friends, we were surprised by how glitter it is. There is a park around this temple and you can consult the divine oracle (which means to get an omikuji) at there. I got “Daikichi” or the best luck for omikuji!

Secondly, I want to introduce Kiyomizu-dera. Kiyomizu-dera (or Kiyomizu temple) is first founded by Iemitsu Tokugawa in 1633. Since this temple is located at the top of the mountain, it is known for a beautiful landscape and scenery. At here, with my family, I prayed to god for a food fortune.

Blog#3: My City (Mizuki Yanagisawa)

Hello. This is Mizuki Yanagisawa again. This time, please let me introduce my city. My city where I live in is called “Kawagoe”. I hope you have heard this name at least once. Kawagoe is a small city in Saitama and known for “Ko-edo”(小江戸) which means “small EDO”. As it is called small EDO, the townscape of Kawagoe is very old and traditional. The place is also known for Japanese traditional snack shops that are “Dagashi-ya” (駄菓子屋) where your mother and father have probably visited at least once. Once any adult steps foot in one of these stores, they must feel like a child again.

If you visit Kawagoe, you must visit the area where many Japanese old buildings stand altogether. These buildings or houses are built more than 100 years ago and made in Japanese traditional way. Moreover, you should visit “Kita-in temple” if you are interested in temples. “Kita-in temple” is a nationwide renowned temple which is first built by mentor “Jikakudaishi” in 830. It is said that this temple is most famous temple in Saitama Prefecture.

Furthermore, if you come to Kawagoe, you should go shopping at “Clare mall” where many shops, stores and restaurants gathered. Every time I visit here, there are enormous numbers of people. From what I have researched, the population of this area is 33,000 per year. You would be able to enjoy shopping for new clothes, foods and souvenirs at here.

Blog#1: Bifidus (Mizuki Yanagisawa)

Hello. This is Mizuki Yanagisawa. Today I want to introduce you a yogurt, which name is Bifidus yogurt (ビヒダス). This is produced by Morinaga. It costs only 210 yen so I think it is quite affordable. I eat this yogurt every morning since it has only 65kcal and it makes me healthy. Personally, I think this Bifidus is much creamier than other yogurts, so my mother and I always buy this at a supermarket. Since it is unsweetened and plain yogurt, you can enjoy various flavors with it such as: jam, honey, syrup… etc. Moreover, I strongly suggest you to make a smoothie with this. To make a smoothie, you just need to put Bifidus, ice and your favorite jam in a mixer together and mix all of them. You will be able to make a wonderful smoothie in a minute!

Biog#5: Debate About Tourism(Misaki Yoshida)

Hi, this is Misaki Yoshida. Last Friday, we debated about tourism. Our topic was ”tourism helps people in tourist community.” It was an interesting topic for me, because my mother and grandmother run a small travel agency of their own, and I often go to travel with them. I’m going to reflect on this debate with 3 points.

1.       First, we separated into 2 groups which are agree team and disagree team. I was in disagree team with Hiroshi. We had 4 strong points about our opinion, so I am going to introduce. First points that Hiroshi said was environment problem. Hiroshi gave 2 examples with a picture, Antarctica and Mt. Fuji. In Antarctica, precious environment and materials of study are hurt by tourists. Mt. Fuji is especially in trouble with garbage pollution, so it had some troubles until becoming a world heritage. Second points that I said was privacy problem. I gave an example about Biei city in Hokkaido with pictures. Biei is famous for a sevenstar tree which is the origin of name of sevenstar cigarette, so many tourists come here. Though this tree is planted in private field, many bad tourists trespass and give damage to crops. We pointed out that tourism has possibility to invade private in tourist community. Third point which Hiroshi said was traffic problem. When transport facilities are made, these are certainly made by hacked into environment. These destroys environment, but transport facilities are necessary for tourism. Hiroshi also mentioned to traffic jam, and gave an example of Kamakura. This problem always annoys people in tourist community. Last point that I said was the destruction of nature. Tourism sometimes causes the destruction of nature. I gave 2 examples, Okinawa and Hawaii. We pointed out that tourists should know that they can destroy environment easier, but its regeneration is very difficult and necessary to much time. (254 words)

2.    I’m going to introduce the best point made by the agree team. They said that tourism creates employment. For example, waitress in restaurants, staff in hotels and souvenir shops. Also, they introduced that women in tourist community in developing country can get jobs and their positions are improving. Moreover, they said that tourism makes economy active. When I thought opinions of agreement. I also thought of same things, so I completely agree, and I couldn’t retort at all. We talked about tourist community in developed country, but they talked about developing community, so we debated at different position. However, when I thought about tourist community in developing country, I couldn't help agreeing.(113 words)

3.    It was my first experience to debate in English. We didn’t know which team I belonged to until the day, so I searched many things, such as the facts, data and examples. Thanks to that, I could share my opinions with Hiroshi smoothly before debating. I learned that Preparations in advance is really important and make my opinions stronger. Also, I think that time management is important. I couldn’t it well, because I spent much time in response, so I couldn’t say my opinions to the end. In contrast, agree team was good at time management. They always could response and say new points in time. I learned that pictures and concrete examples were very effective and made our points stronger. These are persuasive. I also learned that big voice and body languages were effective for giving good impression. I really enjoyed this debate, and it was a great experience for me.(153 words)

Blog #5: Debate about tourism (Momoko)

Hello. This is Momoko Watanabe.  Today, I'm going to reflect about our debate which topic is "tourism helps people in tourist communities."
First, I'm going to explain my role in the debate and the points I made.  I was belong to the disagree team and made two points.  The first point is that tourism is unstable because depending on weather, season and fashion.  Rainy weather keeps tourist away. Cool summer damages resort town heavily because people can't earn money enough only during summer.  The second point is that natural resources are destroyed by tourism.  Some tourists dump trash on the road.  For a long time, it disturbed Mt. Fuji registering the world heritage.  Also, in Yakushima, many people stepped on roots of trees, so some trees died.  (105 words)
Second, I'm going to introduce the best point made by agree team.  I think best point is that tourism have good effect on economy and support the life of people in tourist communities. If people visit tourist communities, they eat foods, stay hotel, and buy souvenirs there using their money ,and it leads to increase employment of tourism communities.  In addition, I was not able to argue that tourism raises status of women.  In some place, women are of low social standings which can't be hired, however they can earn money by tourism, for instance, making souvenirs and managing restaurants.  (100 words)
Finally, I'm going to explain what I learned from this debate experience. I accepted opinions which example supported smoothly.  I felt examples made points stronger. Also, it was difficult to reply opposite points, so I should have considered topic more deeply in advance.  Therefore, I learned that preparation is very important.  Also, I found that debate needs composure and appeal what I want to say.  I was very nervous, so it took all the energy I have just to tell my opinion and I couldn't speak in an orderly fashion.  As a result, I think my opinion was hard to understand for opposite team.  It is a foundation, but I ought to improve this.  (114 words)

#5 Debate About Tourism (Mizuki)

Hello everyone, this is Mizuki Yanagisawa. Today I want to introduce you about our debate in order to remember what was going on and what were the strong point, and the weak point at the debate. The topic we discussed was "Tourism helps people in tourist communities".

First of all, I want to tell you about my role in the debate and the points I had made. As there are three different roles, such as agree team, disagree team and a judge, I played a role of being in agree team. In the debate I made four points that support our idea: about affording people’s job, development of tourist area’s economy, improvement of infrastructure and tourist’s benefits (culture, etc). I and my partner, Yui, already had made the script so what we had to do before the debate starts was just to mix and unite our main opinions. It was quite smooth since we have already made up our point precisely. (114words)

Secondly, I want to tell you the best point made by the opposing team. Through all their four points, they mainly focused on environmental problem in tourism community. The point I was especially impressed was that they show a personal example or experience. For example, one of the speakers talked about her mother’s experience that she is a tour conductor and knows much about environmental problem on these areas. Moreover, the other speaker showed me the poster which depicted how Mountain Fuji was polluted by the tourists. As they showed their personal experience and specific example like Mt.Fuji I felt much familiar to this topic and I think it is very good way to assert one’s opinion. (117words)

Finally, I have learned a lot from this debate experience. There are two points that I want to pick up. First point is that, in our debate, we did not talk about the same situation. I mean, the disagree team was talking about the tourism concern in developed countries such as Japan or U.S. However, we, as the agree team, were talking about developing countries such as Thai or Singapore. Therefore, we had have discussed about which country should be focused on so we could discuss about just one country or just one situation. Another point is that I learned is that any posters or personal experiences can make the point (or opinion) much stronger. Even though I was an opponent of the disagree team, I could easily understand their opinion and what is going on at the tourism community right now. Overall, I really enjoyed discussing and debating about this topic and I think it was great experience for me. (161words)

Blog #5: Debate about tourism (Yurina)

Hello. This is Yurina Mori. I'm going to reflect about our debate. The topic is "Tourism helps people in tourist communities".
First of all, I'm going to explain my role. We were divided into three groups, agree, disagree and the judge. My role was agree, so I told disagree team about good points of tourism. We discussed good and bad thing alternately and listened the opinion of another team. When I listened opposite opinion, I took notes to refute it. I said my opinion after I admit another side. I sometimes glanced at a paper of the time which made by the judge and I thought what I said next. Because there were two persons of my agree group, we showed our opinion each other to tell it smoothly.(108words)
Secondly, I introduce the best point made by the disagree team. I think the best is problem of cheap labor. The opposing team said that because of increase of emigrant by tourism, cheap labor like Chinese also increase. That is to say, Japanese can't get a job easily. I think this is a big problem because finding a job is tending diffucult in Japan now. If the cheap labor will be  used many companies, young Japanese won't get a job and increase the unemployed. I think that more a lot of Japanese than forein people should be employed to revitalize economy in our country.(104words)
At last, I explain what I learned from this experience. I felt agree team was a little difficult for me because I thought disagree team was easy to say a lot of kinds of opinions. But, I noticed that I could understand almost what opposing team say. I learned importance of thinking also another side's opinion from this debate. If I can know what the opponent think, I'm able to refute and admit the opinion easily. And I knew that it is important to listen to companion's opinion because I knew the problems which I didn't find out. So when I debate next time, I want to think two side's opinion and show our finding results as preparation.(118words)

Blog#5: Debate about tourism(Nao Murakami)

Hello, this is Nao Murakami. I'm going to introduce about the debate which we had. The topic for the debate is "Tourism helps people in tourist communities". I'm going to introduce this debate with three points.
First, my role in the debate. There were three different roles, agree, disagree and the judge. I was a judge in my group, so I had to listen carefully to each side and take notes. Then at the end of the debate, I prepare the final result and tell the reasons of decision I made to my group members. The judge also had to be the timer, so I prepared a paper with the words "2 minutes left", "1 minute left" and "30 seconds left" and put up these paper each time with saying the remaining time to make the debate going smooth.  (103words)
Second, good points of each groups. For agree group, I would say the best point was that tourism have good effect on the tourist community's economy. It sounds very common idea, but their idea was very strong to me. They said that tourist community can earn money from tourists, and also it makes the rate of employment in this community higher. Next, for the best points for disagree group, I would say that the tourism depends on various prerequisites. For instance, seasons, weather and peace and order and if the community is out of these prerequisites, tourist do not come to the community. I mentioned only one good points for each group, but there were more good points. (118 words)
At last, what I learned from this debate. I was the judge, so I could not tell my idea or think about how to reply to the other group, but I could listen to both idea equally and find the good points but also bad points. I learned that the tourism can be a very big problem. If the tourism disappears from the tourist community, it would get the serious damage in economy, but sometimes tourists causes the problem. For example destroying nature and pickpocket. So, we have to think how can we make the tourism safe. Also, in this debate, some people spoke with big voice and try to tell their idea as hard as they can, so even if their idea was very common, it sounds very strong. However, some people spoke with very low voice and ended up very early, so the idea sounds very weak. Of course the idea have to be firm and strong, but also the person who debate has to tell the idea as hard as they can. From the debate I learned that we have to be more confident when we speak our idea in debate, but also in class or our free talk. (202 words)

Blog#4: Tokyo(Momoko Watanabe)

Hello, this is Momoko Watanabe.  I introduce one day of my summer vacation. I went sightseeing of Tokyo with my friend.  I go university in Tokyo, but there are many sightseeing spots where I have never been.  First, we went to Tsukiji market.  People of market were cheerful, and there were animated place.  I ate a seafood bowl which costs only 1,000 yen.
It was very delicious! I was moved because I was able to bit off a squid easily! That was the first time I had ever seen such a transparent squid.  I knew clearly that fresh seafood are more delicious than seafood which I usually eat.  We wanted to try out various foods, for example, sushi, a tamagoyaki, and a whale cutlet.  Because the amount of seabowl was large, we couldn't eat another thing.  Next, we went to the Ueno zoo.  We looked forward to seeing pandas, however they got tired from the summer heat.  We saw all animals from end to end of the zoo.  The animal left big impression on me was Heterocephalus glaber(ハダカデバネズミ).

They live in underground nest like ants.  A state which sleeping heterocephalus glaber gathered was a little grotesque.  Also, we were able to contact with many animals, for instance, goats, pigs, and sheep.
Eating delicious seafood and healed with pretty animals, we were able to have a nice time.  Next time of Tokyo sightseeing, I want to go to Kabukiza and Asakusa.

Blog #4: Iseshima (Nao Murakami)

Hello, this is Nao Murakami. How is your summer break? I'm really busy with my club activity and part time job, but enjoyed some trips too. So, this time I'm going to introduce my trip to Iseshima in Mie prefecture.
Do you know Iseshima? It is very popular sightseeing place in Japan. First place I visited is Ise-jinguu, the most famous sightseeing place in Iseshima. It's composed of 125 shrines, and there are two main shrines, Naiku and Geku. Every 20 years, they build a new shrine and replace Honden, the main hall. This year is going to be the year, so if you are interested in it, please visit there.

Next place I visited is Toba aquarium. This aquarium housing more than 1000 species, and the total length of the aisle is about 1.5 kilometers. It is really huge as indoor aquarium, and housing the biggest number of species in Japan. There are some species which you can't see in other aquarium in Japan. If you have chance to visit here, I recommend you to watch walrus show. walrus act like human, and it's really cute and funny, and at last you can touch walrus too.
I stayed 3 days in Iseshima, and I really enjoyed it, but there were more interesting places to visit. I really want to go again. So, I deeply recommend you to visit Iseshima someday.

Blog#4:Harry Potter The Exhibition (Misaki Yoshida)

Hi, this is Misaki Yoshida. How is your vacation? I am really enjoying mine.
By the way, do you know Harry Potter The Exhibition  is held at Mori Arts Center Gallery in Roppongi Hills?

It is displaying clothes and props which were actually used in the movies. I went this exhibition with my friend because I wanted to go to after watched Harry Potter movie on TV. This exhibition is popular too much all over the world and has been holding since June 22 in Japan. Of course, it is popular in Japan. I heard that 20,000 people have already gone to this exhibition. I went to there August 22 when is weekday, but it was too crowded because of summer vacation.  When I walked in the inside, I was really excited the atmosphere because view of the world of Harry Potter was recreated faithfully. There is also the experience-based display that I really touch it, and can play.
You can sit down big chair in Hagrid hut, throw a ball at a corner of Quidditch and pull up Mandrake in a classroom of the medical herb.

I don't tell you all things I watched because when you'll go to, you can't enjoy. If you want to fun more, you should rent voice guide device. It tells you commentary and secret stories concerning filming. After you watch, you can buy goods at the shop. My recommend good is Bertie Bott's Every Flavour Beans.
I think that you should eat it with your friends. When I ate it with my friend, she ate booger flavour. She screamed that she had never eaten such an awful taste befoure!
This exhibition is too crowded any time, so I recommend you that you buy advance ticket at Lawson. This exhibition will finish September 16, so if you want to go, you must go as soon as possible.
